Dancing & Car Decorating

One night in Snowflake we went to watch the guys' softball game (where we sported our team shirts), then headed to Matt & Danielle's house for a fun night of dancing on the Kinect. Our friends Josh & Heather (who live near us in Mexico) spent the last 4 days of our vacation in Snowflake with us, so they joined in the dancing fun!

Our nephews got things started...
Cute Dylan...
Then Lincoln showed us his moves. The song he danced to was "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado. Let me just say that I haven't laughed that hard in a REALLY long time...

Lincoln's brother Kenny came into town that night. He & his wife hadn't seen each other for over a month, so they booked a hotel room & left the kids with us. They weren't shy about letting us know that they wanted to spend time together...so I'm not going to be shy about posting these pictures of what we did to their car in the hotel parking lot. :)

What We Do For Fun In Snowflake...

We watch Dr. Egnor (Linc's cousin) perform a castration on Kyle's horse!

Putting BJ to sleep...
Kylee looking concerned...
Our favorite vet!
It was a family affair. I told you that I married into the coolest family ever.

I had many more bloody, graphic pictures that I didn't post. You're welcome. :)

Time with Friends

We had dinner & dessert at Craig & Jennifer's house one night. Robin was there with her little boy. It was great to see all of them again & spend some time together with all of our kids. Unfortunately, we didn't get pictures with any of them, but we did get pictures with their toys! :)

Although Kylee's face doesn't show it in this picture, she loved riding around on their mini chopper with us!
Look how small it is...isn't that hilarious? This thing is FUN to ride! Turning was a little difficult for me. I'm sure the whole neighborhood could hear me howling with laughter every time I tried to turn. :)
 A ride on the quad...
Thanks for the fun night Craig, Jennifer, & Robin! We missed you Josh!!!

Visiting the Cemetery

We went to the cemetery after church, both Sundays that we were in Snowflake. It felt so great to be in that peaceful place once again with Lincoln & Kylee. The Easter basket that my friend Lindy left by Jackson's headstone was still there. I love watching Kylee at the cemetery. I can't wait for her to get to see her brother one day...
I really can't believe that Jackson would be turning 5 years old in a few months. My heart honestly aches when I think about it. BUT we are an eternal family & that is what matters most. Those relationships are stronger than death & I'm so grateful to have that knowledge! Visiting the cemetery helps us to refocus on what is important: OUR FAMILY. I'm so thankful that we are able to experience this earthly life with Kylee...

Birthday Parties

After spending time in Mesa, we headed to Snowflake for a week & a half. We were there at the perfect time, because it was filled with family birthdays! First was our nephew Ransom's, who turned 5 the day we got there...
Then Linc's brother Matt's birthday...
Next was Roma Lee's birthday...
(She had knee surgery the day before, so she spent her birthday recovering.)
And Matt's wife Danielle's birthday was the day after that, but I don't have any pictures.
It was definitely a week full of partying! :)

TARGET

Our visit to Mesa wouldn't have been complete without a few trips to Target. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed how CHEAP everything was! Before we moved to Mexico, I would hardly ever buy something full-price...it was always on clearance or I used a coupon. I've mentioned before that most things here in Zapopan are expensive. I've never been a big online shopper, but I'm starting to become one. We were able to bring boxes of stuff back to Mexico with us that I had ordered online & had shipped to my parents' house before we got there. It looks like I'll be doing that every semester instead of buying stuff here. We hit up Target for the things that I couldn't find online that we needed this semester. I LOVE TARGET!!!

Kylee is at the age where she doesn't want to sit in the cart & runs off the second we let her out. So I did most of the shopping while Lincoln entertained Kylee...

5 more months until we can visit this wonderful store again! :)

Family Pictures & Kylee's 2-Year Pictures

My friend Heather (with Heather Ellis Photography) took our family pictures & Kylee's 2-year pictures while we were in Mesa. This was the first time having our pictures taken at the Mesa Arts Center, which I really liked. Heather did a great job, especially since Kylee wasn't giving her very many smiles! These are some of my favorites from the photo shoot:

She also got some great behind-the-scenes pictures...
(I've been friends with Heather for 14 years, so I don't mind being a total dork around her.)

Kylee does this hand-roll move when she dances that is SO funny. This pictures kind of shows it...
 Being silly...
 I love her crazy faces!

Heather also got a few snapshots of us while we were at her house hanging out that night...

Costumes & Trick-or-Treating

The last holiday that we celebrated with my family was Halloween. My mom had a princess outfit that Kylee dressed up in...
She loved it...
Nixen dressed up in a suit & was Kylee's prince. Do you think I liked the way Nixen looked in his outfit? Ha ha, I told you that my emotions are always written all over my face!
Striking a pose...
Nixen & Kylee were acting so cute together. They held hands...
And kissed...
I like this picture, because Kylee looks so prim & proper and Nixen looks like an animal. :)
He was making the FUNNIEST faces for the camera...
Ready to trick-or-treat!

Knock knock!
Grandpa passing out goodies from the laundry room...
The kids getting candy from Brad in the bathroom...
Checking out her loot...
Seriously, this was so much fun!
