WHAT????!!!!!

That's what I YELLED at the end of The Bachelor finale. Did anybody else watch this? What in the heck was Brad thinking? Ok, I know...I totally got sucked into this show this season. He ended up rejecting BOTH girls! It was crazy. Now I can't sleep because I am just wondering what he was thinking...yeah, I know...I'm pathetic! :)

THANK YOU!!!

I just want to thank everyone for the phone calls, meals, and visits. I have such a supportive family & amazing friends! I just have to say that Mandy Abbott is one of the most service-oriented people I know. She called me multiple times to check on me, brought me dinner and movies to watch, a shake from Sonic, etc. Thank you so much Mandy!

Also, Hillary Whalen brought me this adorable Hope decoration & a really nice card. Thanks so much Hillary! That made my day. I love having this in my home to remind me that there is always hope in every situation!

Last, but not least, McKenzie & Savannah (my next-door neighbors) came to visit me & helped clean my house! Ha ha! Not really, but they attempted to. :) For some reason, when they come over they are drawn to my closet with my mop & broom in it. They are so funny & can always make me smile!

Games, games & more games!

I spent a couple of days with my family right after my surgery, because Linc was working a ton & I needed someone to take care of me. Thanks Mom & Dad for having me over & spending time with me. :) On Monday night I had FHE with them & we played a few games of Yahtzee after. Throughout the week Lincoln played Ticket To Ride (which we borrowed from Brandon & Christa) so many times with me! This was a big deal, since he is not a big board game player. I, on the other hand, LOVE to play games!!!

The News...

Well, my surgery went well. I kind of knew what to expect, with this being my 6th time having this surgery! My dr. didn't find as much endometriosis as he usually does, but I had a TON of scar tissue. I haven't seen the pictures yet, but Lincoln did and he said it was everywhere. My intestines were even attached to my ovary because of it. But the doctor was able to get it all out (I have a great dr!) and I am starting to feel pretty good! This first week has been a little painful but I wake up every day feeling better than I did the day before. I am SO looking forward to pain-free days...I can hardly wait! Within the next week I should be feeling as good as new!!! Hooray for surgery, great insurance, and fabulous doctors!
P.S.-I almost forgot the best part. When my doctor walked in I asked him if he was wearing Aqua Di Gio...for anyone who doesn't know, I am absolutely obsessed with the scent & can smell it a mile away! Anyway, it ended up being a different cologne (which smelled awfully similar) and Linc just thought that was the funniest thing ever to ask my doctor. I finished by telling the doc he smelled really good (I wasn't even on painkillers at this point!) and apparently after I was drugged up I was telling the anesthesiologist what I had done & that I was embarrassed...I don't even remember it. I guess it could have been worse. :)

Surgery #6

Waiting for them to call me back for surgery...reading People magazine
& catching up on celeb news! :)
Please don't be jealous of my hospital gown and hat. Lincoln couldn't keep his hands
off me. Ha ha!

Family Pictures 2007

Lincoln & I had a lot of fun getting our family pictures taken last week. We felt like we were getting engagement pictures taken all over again! A few people at the temple thought so too, and one lady asked us when our big day was. :) I guess that means we still look like we are in love! Thanks Jana, for doing an awesome job with our pictures!

Night out with my mother-in-law

Lincoln's mom is on the hospital board in ShowLow and invited me to go to dinner & the Phoenix Symphony with them. I had such a great time. We ate at a place called Kincaid's in downtown Phoenix...it was REALLY good. Then we went to the symphony where they were doing "Bernstein on Broadway". The West Side Story music was my favorite. Thank you so much for the fun night Roma Lee!!!
P.S.-She didn't want her picture taken so here's one I took of myself holding my ticket to the Phoenix Symphony. :)

Linc & Branson

We got to have our next-door neighbor Branson over for a few minutes the other day. What a cute little boy! I love watching Lincoln interact with him. Gosh, we are so baby hungry!

Game Night

Sunday night was game night at the Moak's house. Lincoln & I and the Gallup's went over and had treats and played a mean game of Ticket To Ride. Linc didn't end up playing the game because he had to go home and study. He played Disney Bingo for awhile with McKenzie though. Here is a picture that she took of us...not bad for a 3-year-old, huh?!

Date with Lincoln

On Saturday night Lincoln & I went to dinner at PF Chang's and then went shopping at Scottsdale Fashion Square. We got some great deals there! Then it was back to the hotel to hang out and relax. We don't get to spend much time together, with Lincoln either at work, school, or studying most of the time, so it was awesome to go out and forget about everything else!

Fun Weekend

My parents gave Lincoln & I a gift certificate awhile ago for a weekend stay at a hotel in Scottsdale. Lincoln ended up having to work on Friday night, so my mom went with me instead! I had been crying most of that day, being at the end of my rope with the whole being sick & in pain thing....spending time with my mom was EXACTLY what I needed! We ate at Denny's and stayed up late playing games & talking. I love my mom so much & am so thankful to have her as my friend. She means so much to me!

Halloween 2007

Our Halloween started with a neighborhood party on my parents' street. Next was the ward Trunk or Treat and then a party at my aunt and uncle's house. We had a really fun time. I have to say though, that it is nice to have Lincoln out of his costume. I tried to lay my head on his shoulder last night, and his chest was in the way. :) Ha ha!
