McKenzie informed me the other day that if she had a wand she could make me feel better. So we made one! Here is McKenzie holding the magic wand that we made. She was sure that if she waved it around & said "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!" that I would be healed. :) Ha ha! I love this girl.

My little visitor

My next-door neighbor McKenzie has been a frequent visitor to our house lately. Her mom just had a baby, & I figured since McKenzie is probably missing a little attention & I have been home by myself, we might as well be friends & spend time with eachother! :) I have to say that she is my FAVORITE visitor. We have so much fun and she is such a breath of fresh air for me. There is nothing like having a sweet child in your home...she makes me want to be better & has helped me to use my imagination more. Thanks McKenzie, for spending time with me & cheering me up! :) Here are just a few things that we love to do together: Eat bread & cheese (her favorite snack), watch Maya & Miguel and Arthur (I love that show!) on PBS, and take pictures of eachother making funny faces (she is quite the photographer!). I love you McKenzie!

My Prince
Ok, I know that I am known to post mushy stuff about my husband on my blog, but you know sometimes I just can't help it! :) I remember worrying (a lot) after high school about my health & about finding a husband who would be able to deal with a wife who is sick or in pain almost every day. It didn't seem possible that I could find someone who could understand and who would be willing to stand by me through my trials...knowing beforehand that he would have to do so. Well, I have to say that I did find him....Lincoln is SO good to me & deals with my endometriosis so well. I have NOT done my share of housework, grocery shopping, earning money, etc. over the past three or four months and he has just picked up the slack, all without complaining. On Saturday I slept for 3 hours & when I woke up he had done the laundry and cleaned the house. I just had to give him credit. I'm the only one who sees all of the service that he gives to me & the way that he helps to keep our lives (& home) in order when everything seems to be coming down around me. What a lucky girl I am! I am truly blessed.

Sale at Old Navy!!!
For all of you out there who love a good deal...I just went to the Old Navy on Stapley/Baseline and bought 3 shirts, 2 sweaters & a sweatshirt for $19! They have short sleeve shirts for 2 bucks in a bunch of different colors. They just pulled all the stuff out today so there will probably be a good selection until tomorrow at least. It was harder to find size small though, so for all of you XS people, you may not be quite so lucky!

Olive Garden with Kristina

I met up with my friend Kristina at Olive Garden. I hadn't seen her since I got married! Kristina is moving to Spain so I wanted to make sure I saw her before she left. It was so fun catching up with her.

CORN MAZE!!!
So this is the AMAZING corn maze that Lincoln's uncle & his family made. I couldn't find my picture of it, so luckily Katee posted one & I copied hers. :) This is on The Willis Farm...Lincoln's uncle & grandpa run it. It's located right behind Linc's parents' house. They have a pumpkin patch every year and this year they have this 10-acre corn maze. We went through it a couple of weeks ago when we visited Snowflake & we had a blast. I am tempted to go back up the week that the maze is HAUNTED...I'm sure it will be the popular place to be!

Costa Vida

I went out with my mom, aunts, and cousins, and our friend Kristen Spuhler on Saturday night while the guys were at the priesthood session. We ate at Costa Vida and of course I got the sweet pork salad! We had a lot of fun...we missed our cousins who weren't there. I love living close to family!!!

Should a man give his wife mental health advice?
So since Sunday I have barely seen the sunshine all week. Yesterday I was in so much pain I literally got up off the couch to get something to eat or answer the phone. Needless to say, by the time Lincoln got home last night I was a little stir-crazy. I decided today that I was going to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! So I put on makeup for the first time this week (lucky Lincoln!) and got out of my pj's. Erica & Steve were nice enough to have me over & even fed me dinner. I went to the library too...and it was the best day that I've had this week! Oh yeah, the whole point of this story was to tell you that when I mentioned to Lincoln that I was going to try to visit a friend today he said, "That's a really good idea. I think that will help your mental health...and mine." Ha ha! So now my husband thinks I am crazy. Oh well. I guess he really does know what will improve my "mental health"!

Another trip to Snowflake!

We went up to Snowflake for the day to go to Jayten's baptism. After the baptism, we hung out with Linc's family, then I went to the Relief Society Broadcast with two of my sisters-in-law & my mother-in-law. After that, Aunt Lea got us all to go down to Uncle Lamar & Aunt Robin's corn maze. I'll have to post a picture of the maze...it is awesome! They did such a great job on it. The maze is behind Linc's parents' house. The moon was full, the weather was perfect, and we had so much fun navigating our way through the maze. Lincoln kept running away & hiding from us, then jumping out and scaring all our nieces and nephews. They loved it! I am so thankful for Linc's family & the way that they accept me into their family. I am truly blessed!
Lincoln's dad taught me how to milk a cow. It's amazing that I have been in the family for 3 1/2 years & have never once made an attempt at milking the family cow. I think I just didn't want my in-laws to realize what a city girl I am! I have to say that I did a pretty terrible job at it...next time maybe I will do a little better! :)

Jayten's Baptism

Our nephew Jayten was baptized this past Saturday! We are so excited for him & are so proud of the good choices that he has made. He is such a great kid! Jayten asked Lincoln & I to give the talks at his baptism...we were so glad that he asked us. It was a great experience. We love you Jayten!!! (Reaves couldn't help sneaking into the pictures. :) )

Mother/Daughter Bunko Night

My mom went out of town to San Francisco so I got to be Megan's "honorary mom" at Bunko night for Activity Days! I didn't do so well, but Meg did...she won a Symphony bar! Way to go Megan!
