Mitchell was visiting from BYU so we had a BBQ and all hung out. Heather, Mitchell, and I have been friends since we were 14...it is always fun to get together with them.
Heather's bean dip is the best I've ever tasted in my life...I seriously couldn't keep myself away from it!

Guitar Hero!

An intense game of Boggle. I couldn't resist taking a picture of my score sheet...word games are one of my hidden talents. :)

Totally random
Ok, so I have a really random question for all of you bloggers out there. I have major canker sore problems & have never found a good remedy. Does anyone have one? I can get 10-15 at a time all over my mouth & tongue. Right now I have them going down my throat. I actually took 1/2 a Vicodin because it hurts to talk and eat...I know, pathetic! I've heard Ecinachea (sp?) helps. I've tried the patches that cover them but they don't work. Anything else? Thanks in advance! (I was going to post a picture of my biggest canker sore on here, but thought it would gross people out. Ha ha!)

I love this boy

I know I haven't posted anything lately. Some of you know that I have a pretty severe case of endometriosis. I was diagnosed with it in high school, I have had 5 surgeries for it, and when it is at its worst I have to be on Vicodin or Percocet every day. Hmmm, it's not fun! When I became pregnant with Jackson all of my pain went away and it has stayed away, but the last month has been pretty bad and now I know that it is for sure coming back. I wake up feeling really tired, sick, and achey. My pain isn't too bad yet, but eventually it will feel like I am having painful contractions all of the time. For all of you women who have had kids, you know what that feels like!
So anyway, nobody except Lincoln & I really know how hard things get when my endometriosis comes back. It affects EVERYTHING! Lincoln is amazing about it. If I don't feel well enough to make dinner, he does it. He cleans the house for me, runs my errands, etc. He does a TON for me and doesn't ever complain about it, and I just want him to know that I am SO thankful for him. Lincoln & I have very different personalities, but I am SO glad that we ended up together. He really balances me out and helps me in so many ways. He will probably be embarassed that I posted this on the blog, but I just want him and everyone else to know how much I appreciate what he does for me. I am so blessed to have him.
P.S- I know the picture is goofy for a serious post. I thought it was funny though.

Lincoln's B-day Dinner

Linc's birthday was a few weeks ago, but my mom made his birthday dinner this past Sunday. It was so good. Linc was very specific about what he wanted: roast, potatoes, and carrots; corn with lots of bacon bits in it; lots of Pillsbury biscuits; and mock fried ice cream for dessert. My parents gave him gift cards, which he is so excited about. Home Depot is like heaven on earth for Lincoln. :) After dinner the girls went on a walk in the rain and then we played an intense game of Scattergories with Dad while Linc & Aaron read their books.

Sunsplash

My mom took Meg & her friends to Sunsplash last week and they invited me to go! I had a fun time...I haven't been there for a REALLY long time. It brought back fun memories. :) We saw our cousin Shelice with her kids and our cousin Krystal there. The day ended with POURING rain. Everyone was huddled in the ice cream shop and finally we just ran out to the car because we were tired of waiting for it to let up. We had to pull over because it was raining so hard...my mom couldn't see anything. Oh yeah, congrats to Mom for going on The Cauldron. It's a new slide and I was so proud of her (and me) for going on it! Since she was screaming on the lazy river when the water would hit her from overhead, going on the slide was quite an accomplishment! :)

What Kind of Pie Are You?
I know...totally random. If you go to blogthings.com they have all sorts of personality quizzes that you can take. I think it's pretty fun! Apple pie just happens to be my favorite kind of pie!

Heather's birthday bash!!!
Heather turned 24 yesterday! We went to her house for cake & ice cream, games, and all sorts of fun. It's always a party with Heather around. I wasn't feeling well and was in a bad mood when I got there. However, my attitude improved after being around Heather for a little while. She always cheers me up & makes me hyper. :) Sorry for being such a party pooper Heather! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
The first time Lincoln gave me this look, I knew he was the one! Ha ha. :)
We are obsessed with taking pictures so that we have something to post on our blogs.

Guitar Hero...Linc looks like a rock star. I didn't really know what I was doing.

12th Ward...GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!
So I was called to be the Enrichment Assistant about a month ago. I went to relief society for one Sunday and then the bishop called me in for another calling...2nd counselor in the Primary presidency. I am excited & humbled. :) On Friday night we had Enrichment and had a little fiesta. We did really cute crafts and made delicious cinnamon rolls. It was a really fun night! I love the girls in my ward.
Lindy & Andrea
Melissa, Christa, me
Ashley...such a hard worker! I know all of the girls will really miss having her in the relief society presidency!
Jana(aka: our NEW PRIMARY PRESIDENT), Kim, Kimberly.
I'm so excited to work with you Jana! :)

Party at the Moak's
Brandon and Christa had us over on Sunday for a little birthday party for Lincoln. They gave him a model airplane and made strawberry cake (Lincoln's favorite). The girls were so cute & sang Lincoln happy birthday. I didn't make him a cake, so it was really nice of them to do this. Thanks guys!

This past weekend we had our annual Allen summer vacation. It was a lot of fun. I drove up with my parents on Thursday night, and the rest of the family came up on Friday. After some people getting stuck in 4 hours of traffic (including Lincoln), Melodee hurting her leg in the 3-legged race, tons of games and food, rain, time to read, dancing to Cory's guitar, singing, and spending time talking it was a very memorable trip! We went to Pine and rented a cabin right across from the Hiatt cabin, so Linc & I cheated and stayed at our cabin instead. :) It was BEAUTIFUL there. Thanks to Lincoln for being willing to celebrate his birthday with my family. :) Thanks also to Connie for getting me Harry Potter!
